By The Time I Got to .... Goodstock?

SUMMERSVILLE, WV (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) -- Woodstock co-creator Artie Kornfeld has teamed up with musician Larry McClurg to produce Goodstock 2007, a three-day music festival set for July 19-21 in Summersville, West Virginia.

“Over the years since 1969 there have been attempts to recreate Woodstock,” said Kornfeld in a statement. “They had the acts and had the stage but they did not have the Goodstock 2007 feeling of reliving the moment when all good came together through music as one. They have got back to the Garden at these events. I consider Goodstock 2007 to be the first real attempt to have another 3 days of peace and music. I feel magic AGAIN.”

Goodstock 2007 brings together bands from the ‘60s and ‘70s, including Iron Butterfly, Jefferson Starship, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Mercy, and the Electric Prunes, as well as large line up of modern acts that share the same vibes.

Goodstock is produced and promoter by Larry McClurg, of ‘60s band Mind Garage, and song writer, manager, producer and Woodstock co-creator Artie Kornfeld. The festival will be held on 1000 rolling acres at the Good Evening Ranch, which will be turned into Goodstock Village for the event. The Village will include sixties style memorabilia, clothing and band attire, a ‘60s museum style exhibit, bands performing continually, and a San Francisco-style light show. Goodstock admission, which includes camping, is priced at $28 per day, or $75 for a three-day pass.

“Imagine the excitement of seeing the stars and legends of rock who played the Fillmore East, West and Woodstock, with the bands who opened for them, and the fans who were there, all in one place again,” said McClurg. “That’s what Goodstock 2007 is. This is not an attempt to go back, re-create or re-visit. It is a new ‘happening’ and an opportunity for the whole family to experience a re-awakening of the ideals of peace and togetherness through music.”
