Feelin' Alright: Belushi vs. Cocker

Joe Cocker shares the SNL stage with the late great Jon Belushi (as Joe Cocker), singing Dave Mason's 'Feelin' Alright' (a song Dave sang with the Allman Brothers Band during their recent Beacon Theatre run). Belushi puts forth one of the most complete impressions I have ever seen. And on top of that, it's a fantastic musical performance from both men, as well as the band.

Did You Know: Joe Cocker performed 'I Shall Be Released' as song 4 of his 5 song set at Woodstock. Song 5 was of course his legendary cover of the Beatles 'With A Little Help From My Friends.'

Are Cocker and Belushi the first hipsters. Check out the blazer/ironic t-shirt they're both rockin'. I think Belushi even took a sip of PBR in that clip. All they need is a couple of 1980's arcade games in the back and I'd say we have history in the making. Just remember you heard it here first.

Of course this clip is from 1976, and the 1980's video games are a bit of a stretch. Sue me. I'll redeem myself with a fun fact: Cocker didn't know Belushi was going to come on stage, but wondered what was going on when John asked him before the show what he would be wearing on stage. I can't verify that but since it's on the Internet it must be true.
