Concert Buzz

Concert industry heavyweight Pollstar publishes their Top 50 Power Rankings every Friday based on a band's live music buzz. This week's Top 16 of 50 looks like it could have been written 15 years ago. Take out Fall Out Boy and The Killers and you have a set of artists that had all played large arenas and stadiums by the mid-90s. I know, some of these bands weren't 'reunited' at the time, but that's not the point here. This is an incredible indication that the public wants to see artists from the past and not from today. There are too few new artists that people care about. This is a problem for the future unless there are some big changes in the direction of the industry. And I am certain they are coming....they have to....right?

It continues on to include such new artists as Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, and Elton John.

Read the full list of 50 here.
